I realize that it has been a long time since I have written in the blog, but I was asked to write a blog for my Advanced Writing for the Media class at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. It is Friday April 5th, 2008 shortly before noon and I am feeling quite good. Although I did not sleep last night because I was writing a paper, I drank several cups of Starbucks coffee and made it through Thursday night into Friday morning. I went to my literature class this morning at around 10 a.m., turned in my paper on the nature of a serial killer in one of the books I read, wrote a response to a writing prompt, and then decided to make up my lab.
In case you do not know much about me I will spend the rest of the writing lab's time discussing a few points about myself. I am a 19-year-old, South Florida resident attending school in Jacksonville, FL. I have a major in Mass Communications with a focus on Advertising while my minor is in English. I am a Resident Assistant for the Department of Residence Life at the University of North Florida and have been for this spring semester at UNF. I have a 15-year-old sister at home named Kelsie Taggart and two dogs name Coo-coo and Ash. Since I think that the preceding sentences are more than enough information for someone who is relatively resourceful with computers to steal my identity I will now end this blog.

Thursday
Drove home with joe in lame traffic and dumb rain. I think I fell asleep a couple of times and I feel bad about that.
Today
Went to work at 9am. worked till 4. traffic sucked. ate at Sweet Tomatoes!
found out I got the RA position which means i get free dorm next semester and MY OWN KITCHEN
Hung out with my Dogs!
I have missed them dearly.
I get to see Alexis tommorow! so that should be exciting.

Alexis officially broke up with her long time boyfriend Andreas for good last night.
I was happy.
she commented that now we can date and we both laughed.
We've always made out when both of us were dating other people and we have always known we'd probably end up marrying eachother, but for some reason us dating just seems so unnatural to me.
probably because we've been through a lot of stuff with eachother and had the most complicated relationship of all time.
I will always be there for her

I really am starting to feel old when people ask me what I'm doing for halloween and i say, "Nothing, its on a week night and I need to go to sleep at a reasonable time". That's something my parents would say or something.
lots of changes lately: Cut my hair short short short short. took out all my piercing. somewhat of a rudimentary vegetarian (so if anyone has any recipes for my developing cookbook, let me know), and other things have happened.
Also: thinking about changing my major because i can't pass calculus based physics for the life of me and i can't really see myself doing stuff like that for the rest of my life. I'm thinking about english, literature, or education with a minor in literature. who knows? probably the last one...
going home to visit my family this weekend as a surprise for my dad's birthday. I can't wait to see the look on his face. uh, gonna be priceless.
i think thats it.

hey kids. perfect day out today!
threw some frisbee with akosh and merlin on the green today. glad to get some practice in good weather before hat tournament on saturday.
took my lip ring out last night. might get it put back in at a later date, but bored with it for now. felt like mixing it up a bit.
plus its weird cause it kinda resembled me fully being over it all to me. and then the hemp bracelet she made also broke today so it just re-emphasized that belief for me.

i have decided that i have finally found a cool group of friends in goose, kate, and the occassional laura. i feel like they are the truly unique type of person instead of the competion base, who can the funniest group of kids out there. it has given me hope that if i can get all the people of interest into this group, it will be perfect, complete, and a genuine reason to stay at UNF.
on another note: i'm confused about how i can be so sure of what i want. cryptic it is. |

i need to clean my room and call my mom. is it bad that i rather do the first than the second. I love my mom its just she often has a problem with completely guilt tripping me or scolding me. there are very few times when we have normal happy convos and it just completel surprises me when they happen.
took a bus to tally this weekend, it was nice. got to see a rollergirl game which was fricken sweet. luckily i got to steal a poster so that's definitely going up in my room. plus it was just an amazing weekend cause i got to see lauryn. it was like we were living in her dorm again except we finally had our own room.
so whats everyone been up to?
and for people in jax that i haven't seen in a while: we should hang out. i know i've done a bad job of initiating that and will try to change.
PS. i met hippie people last night with quinn and they were wicked sweet. |

i've been just checking up on lj's instead of doing what i need to be doing and starting my homework.
this weekend i made like a crapload of decisions some of which i've told people and some of which will remain a secret. the non secret ones:
1. me and lauryn back together ( i know...it just kinda happened i guess; but i'm really happy with it)
2. i'm not that big of a crazy partying person. much rather sit out on the porch and talk to interesting people
3. i'm gonna start trying my best to be a happier person
anyways. it was a really fun weekend with some cool people, but definately ready for the week to start cause i'm kinda burnt out on doing whatever i want. i need some rigidity.
i need to pick something to stencil for the back of my messenger back and a couple things for t-shirts. any ideas? |
